I can't give this complex a quarter of a star, but if I could I would. Started off as a nightmare, is still a nightmare. I lived in the building 5550. It is a paling how the do not enforce pet policies or smoking policies or visitor policies or any whatsoever in fact. Nor do they fix at all any of the maintenance issues needed for health hazards to be avoided. They just want to update their cosmetic image even when they have a fifty year old building that needed such maintenance 3 yrs ago for the elevator, the windows, the wiring, the bathrooms, etc. These are issues I had when renting hear and complained for for months and never saw anything except for a response of "you are on a waiting list" to which became monotonous and irritating to no end. Half way through my lease I just gave up and was done with how ridiculous they take a concern as a health hazard as. For a month, the first one in fact I had no electricity or heat I'm my master bedroom because they took their sweet time to come around and fix the backwards wiring on all my outlets and completely replace the faulty breaker box. Mind you this is february, still in winter, that I was without power. Next thing is the tub. Oh the freaking tub! Had a few hills in the bottom, made a complaint each week. Response from them was "you are on a waiting list". Did that for 5 months over the phone then I said I ain't gunna do that no more thank you. Now I take showes at the boyfriends because it is not a big red lighted slip hazard. Thirdly is the damn bugs that we had to pay treatment for. I nor anyone of my roommates brought those bugs with us. They didn't show up two months in and that was when the neighbor across the hall was evicted, I believe, because he left one of his five pit bull pups alone for two weeks in that apartment. Now this is where I have a big pet peeve about policies not being enforced. This is where the bugs probably came from and this is why a few months after the bed bugs came the fleas. Now I nor any of my roommates paid for the flea issue but we had to pay for the bed bug treatment. Village Green is nothing but excuses hiding real big problems. And the area is terrible. Yeah you have such convenience of shopping centers and restaurants but there is a lot of burglary and theft and crime. Roommate got her purse stolen out of her vehicle in the parking lot of our complex and had to get new everything. So don't look to village green as a place for home.
