Family Dollar at 4218 North Aurelius Road, Lansing, Michigan.

I went to this Family Dollar today and I browsed around, just kinda checking things out. I did so at great risk to my person, since EVERY SINGLE ISLE had full boxes of products waiting to be shelved all over the floor, it was like an obstacle course, near to impossible to try to navigate through it all. I managed somehow. I got to the cashier, eventually, and paid for my stuff. She was very snotty and almost rude to me. I had attempted small talk and she wasn't having it. I have been designing a little Crafting storage unit, one that sits atop your desk. I plan to use card board, and reinforce it if necessary... I have some great plans. I had noticed that there was a bigger box with quite a few larger sized box's inside of it, they'd been broken down and folded and put into the bigger one... I asked her, since it looked like no one else was working in the whole freaking store... I asked and she was rude, gave me the stupidest excuse, and said no... I have never been told that I couldn't have boxes they were just throwing them away, anyway... Ugh... Whatever... Time to call their customer service...

8/21/17-It's a Family Dollar... That being said, this rating is based on a Family Dollar scale... So (based on previous visit from 8/27/17) 4*'s isn't saying this place is fabulous or amazing, and wonderful... It's saying that it's good for a Family Dollar... They have sub-par products at premium prices... It has always bugged me that people who shop at Family Dollar believe that they're getting a bargain... On off brand products, you will come across deals, that's a given. On name brand products, as long as that name brand has not changed the products formula, size, components, and standards to be able to sell the product at a discount to Family Dollar (it's well known that Walmart is notorious for this tactic{, and if the brand tries to hold firm with their price, WALSHARK will force them out of business by creating an unethical competition that didn't exist before}) the product tends to actually be undeniably more expensive at Family Dollar, than at the name brand stores... People don't realize that you're paying for convenience, you're not in fact bargain shopping... For example (and a true story of when this came to my attention) I had went to a Family Dollar, assuming that I was bargain shopping, I purchased a bottle of shampoo and a bottle of conditioner, I went to Meijers the next day and was shocked to see the same EXACT shampoo and conditioner on Meijer shelves for 57¢ less than Family Dollar... If I had just waited a day I would've saved over a $1.00, regular price at both stores...

Other than that little hicup, this Family Dollar is my favorite of them all... The staff tends to be kind, there's a couple of ignorant, lazy ones, but I think every business has them...
